Setup via Google/Android Find My Device app

Step 1: Download the Google Find My Device app

Open the Google Play Store on your Android device. Search for "Google Find My Device." Tap "Install" to download and install the app.

Step 2: Enable Bluetooth and location

Open the quick settings on your phone by swiping down. Tap the Bluetooth icon to enable Bluetooth. Tap the location icon to enable location services.

Step 3: Press the LifeTag to activate it

Hold the Lifemate LifeTag in your hand. Press the button in the middle of the tag once to activate it. The LifeTag will now send a signal to your phone.

Step 4: A pop-up will appear on your phone

Wait a few seconds until a pop-up appears on your Android device. Tap "Connect" to add the LifeTag to your Google account.

Step 5: Follow the instructions and accept the terms

A welcome message with usage instructions will appear on the screen. Read the information carefully and tap "Agree and continue."

Step 6: Your LifeTag is ready to use!

The LifeTag has now been successfully added to the Google Find My Device app. You can name it, change the category, and share it with others.

Manual setup

Step 1: Go to Settings

Open the Settings app on your Android device. Find and tap on Google.

Step 2: Navigate to Google settings

Scroll down in the settings menu and tap on Google. This will open the section for Google services and preferences.

Step 3: Tap "All services"

In the Google services section, look for the option "All services." Tap it to view all available Google service settings.

Step 4: Go to "Connected devices"

Under Google services, find and tap on Devices. This will show all your currently connected and available devices.

Step 5: Enable "Nearby device scanning"

Make sure "Nearby device scanning" is enabled. The LifeTag should now appear among the available nearby devices.

Step 6: Tap "LifeTag" and accept the terms

Tap the LifeTag once it appears. Read and accept Google's terms by tapping "Agree and continue."

Step 7: LifeTag is now connecting

The LifeTag will now synchronize with your Google Find My Device account. Wait a few moments for the setup to complete.

Step 8: Your LifeTag is ready to use!

You can now see the LifeTag on your Google Find My Device map. You can play a sound, find it nearby, or share access with others.
