The iPhone SE 2022 was announced on March 8th, 2022. It is the third version in Apple's SE series. Its predecessor (SE 2020) was released in 2020. The SE 2022 is currently the best priced 5G iPhone on the market. But is it exactly what we have been waiting for?
Technical specifications of the iPhone SE 2022
Colors
The iPhone SE 2022 is available in black, white and red. The memory capacity comes in several variants, namely 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB. The dimensions of the iPhone SE 2022 are identical to the dimensions of the iPhone SE 2020 (138.4 mm × 67.3 mm). The display is also identical to the iPhone SE 2020 (screen size: 4.7 inches, resolution: 1136x640 screen type: IPS LCD pixel: 326 ppi).
Chip
The A15 Bionic chipset in the SE 2022 is the most powerful chipset at the moment, it fits perfectly into the small frame. This makes it faster than its predecessor (SE 2020) and that brings additional features. The iPhone SE 2022 has 5G and also additional camera features.
Camera
The iPhone SE 2022 is equipped with only one camera, but it can still shoot beautiful pictures with good color accuracy and great quality, this is courtesy of the A15 Bionic chip. The SE 2022 includes Deep Fusion which allows photos to be analyzed down to the pixels, thus improving exposure and detail.
Price
And now to the price! €529 for the entry-level 64GB model, €579 for 128GB and €699 for 256GB.
These prices are of course very reasonable for an iPhone with these specifications.

What is the difference between the iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone SE 2022?
The iPhone SE 2022 and the iPhone SE 2020 are very similar, but do differ a bit here and there. You can see this mainly in the software. The SE 2022 uses iOS 15 while the SE 2020 uses iOS 13. The SE 2022 contains a better chipset compares to the SE 2020. The A15 Bionic chipset is the most powerful chipset at the moment, therefore the SE 2022 is faster than the SE 2020. The smartphones do still have the same design.
Despite the SE 2022 being very similar to the SE 2020, it is a better version of its predecessor.
