Of course, everyone wants to enjoy their favorite gaming chair for as long as possible. How nice would it be if your chair looks as good as new for months. Clean your chair thoroughly every 2 to 3 months and let your chair shine again. Curious about how to do this and what to look out for? Read the steps here!
Step 1. Vacuum
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and particles such as crumbs. Pass the vacuum cleaner over the backrest, armrests and seat. Then change the attachment of the vacuum cleaner to get between hard-to-reach areas such as the areas between the seat and backrest.
Step 2. Clean with water
You can remove a stain in different ways. First, try using a wet cloth. The faster you remove the stain, the more likely it is to come out completely. Wet a cloth and dab it on the stain. Once you have absorbed a large portion of the liquid you can lightly rub the stain until it disappears.
Step 3. Check the care label
Always check the care label of the game chair, you don't want to potentially damage your chair. There are different types of cleaners. These can be chemical or water based solvents.
Beware! Using the wrong kind of cleaning agent can cause permanent stains. Test it first on a small area such as the bottom of the chair.
Step 4. Clean with a cleaning agent
There are different types of cleaning agents. These can come in liquid or powder form. Always read the instructions on the product label carefully.
For a chemical-based cleaner, you can perform the following steps:
1. Apply some detergent to a dry cloth and use it to remove the stain(s).
2. Dampen a clean cloth and remove the residue of the solvent.
Do this carefully to avoid new stains on the chair.
For a water-based cleaner, you can apply the following steps:
1. Add mild detergent to water
2. Use the soapy water to dampen a clean cloth
3. Gently dab on the stain to get it away. Try to rub as little as possible to avoid damage.
Tip: Use microfiber wipes for best results. The Whoosh Antimicrobial cleaning wipes can even be reused up to 50 times.
Extra step: If you want to give your game chair extra protection you can apply a protective liquid to the surface of your chair.
Cleaning the wheels
Do you notice that your wheels don't roll properly anymore? Maybe it's time for a polish there too.
Turn the chair over and remove the wheels from the base. Use a sharp object like a butter knife to get rid of the dirt in and between the wheels. By sliding the knife into the gap between the wheel and the cover, you can scrape out all the dirt.
Next, dampen a cloth and go over and between the wheels. This will allow you to remove the last remaining dirt. Don't forget to go over the wheels with a dry cloth to avoid leaving any moisture behind.
Reattach the wheels to the chair and voila you're done!
